HPV To Honor Longtime Supporters Saturday

Hawaii’s Plantation Village pays tribute to Alan Wong, Steven Pang, Ah Sui (Joe) and Margie Pang, Barbara Kawakami, and Mildred and Melvin Makii at the third annual Plantation Legacy Awards Dinner and Fundraiser, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Honolulu Country Club.

According to HPV executive director Jeff Higa, “This year’s honorees are a diverse group whose work continues to share our understanding of plantation culture and history.”

There will be “good food, fun, fellowship, HPV’s famous silent auction” and a musical performance by Mike Keale.
