No one can resist the taste of a hot, freshly made pancake - not even Miss Hawaii Raeceen Woolford!

The reigning Miss Hawaii (and former Miss Ko Olina) will don an apron and wield a spatula from 7 to 11 a.m. Feb. 23 at the Pearl City International House of Pancakes, 98-1254 Kaahumanu St., in honor of National Pancake Day.

During the event, each guest will receive a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes. In exchange, the pancake house asks diners to make a donation to Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.

Since its inception in 2006, National Pancake Day has raised more than $3.25 million and given away more than 6.1 million pancakes to support local charities.

This year, IHOP hopes to stack up more donations than ever before and raise $1.75 million to bring its 5-year fundraising total to $5 million. For details, visit www.ihoppancakeday.com.
