The tables were set and the stage was lit as more than 600 party-goers headed to the oceanfront venue of Lanikuhonua in Ko Olina for the 12th annual “Walk in the Country” benefit for the Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii.
The night’s theme of “Cracked Seed” gave a nod to both the historic Hawaiian music era and honorary event co-chairs Robert and Roland Cazimero and their hanabutta days as The Sunday Manoa and Brothers Cazimero. The singing brothers also gave a special impromptu performance for the crowd.
Guests grazed on a wide array of culinary perfection from local chefs Chai Chaowasaree, Elmer Guzman and Kevin Higa and indulged in a fine wine and martini bar. There also was a silent auction of 200 unique gifts, artwork, travel packages and more. Best of all, the night under the stars raised $180,000 to support BGCH programs and services.
