Hope Chapel Kapolei Grand Opening Party

Although in existence for more than 14 years, Hope Chapel Kapolei celebrated the grand opening of its permanent home at the old Barbers Point Fitness Center and Pool Nov. 18, 2007. Calee Leong of Hope Chapel Kapolei said it had always been a desire of senior pastor John Honold to be a part of the Kapolei Community and so far, they are having a terrific time. To welcome their new neighbors, nearly 1,200 guests made it out to the church to enjoy a huge pool party complete with an ono lunch provided by community eateries, a free car wash put on by Hope Chapel Kapolei Awana’s Club, two basketball games with prizes donated by Faith Riding Co. and Jedidah Clothing Co. and boxes upon boxes of delec-table Krispy Kreme donuts. A concert featuring Hoku award-winning group Kapena capped off the day’s excitement.
