VIP guests enjoyed a private reception Nov. 16 at the new Taco del Mar eatery located at Kunia Shopping Center. “They really stress fresh ingredients,” said Ron Nagasawa who sampled the Mondo Burrito (by recommendation) and enchilada. “They offer alternative ingredients like fish tacos and different types of meet. But, they also offer vegan and vegetarian options.” The buffet style assembly line allows customers to choose various types of beans and sauces to go with their order. Ken Nascimento, who already runs a Subway chain on the island, is the master developer of the Taco del Mar franchise in Kunia. And he has several more in the works, including one at Waipio Gentry.
