BayFest returns to Kaneohe Marine base July 15-17 for the festival’s 22nd annual offering of music and family fun.

The public is invited to enjoy the EK Fernandez carnival rides and midway, fireworks shows, competitions, food booths and military displays. For the first time, the event will feature a GreenFest, transforming Hangar 101 into an eco village of environmentally conscious businesses and organizations. Vendors are invited to be part of the eco-village and should reserve space by June 30 by calling Kathy Molitor at 254-7651.

The popular concerts will feature the Marine Forces Pacific Band each night, Hawaiian music duo Cecilio & Kapono July 15, alternative rockers Puddle of Mudd with special guest Hoobastank July 16 and award-winning country music artist Joe Nichols July 17.

BayFest will run from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday, noon to 1 a.m. Saturday and noon to 11 p.m. Sunday. The concert gates open at 5 p.m. General admission is $5 while individual concert tickets range from $10 to $30. Unlimited-ride wrist-bands are available for $15.50 at the Kaneohe Bay and

Camp Smith Information, Tickets and Tours offices, or at EKFernandez.com or TicketMaster.com.

Proceeds from the event will support Marine Corps Community Services. For more information and to buy tickets, call 254-7679 or visit BayFestHawaii.com.

Volunteers also are welcome to shuttle musicians, stock merchandise, serve food and drinks, check ID at gates, distribute advertising and assist at the contests (Stand up paddleboard, BodySearch and Bathtub Regatta). To offer help, call 257-7787 or 257-7790.
