After many successful years in Waimanalo, Tropical Garden Accents put down new roots in Kailua last October when it moved to a space at 143 Hekili St.
“As much as we loved being in Waimanalo for the past five years, it was time for us to move closer to our customers,” said TGA owner David Staub, who founded the company in 2006 out of his own backyard.
“We have been so fortunate to have such a great following in the business and design industry, as well as with residents,” he added, “that we thought it was time to make it more convenient for all of our customers.”
According to Staub, so far they have seen seven times more customers walk into the store each day. The 15,00-square-foot space also has allowed the state’s largest garden accent supplier the chance to branch out with its own brand of products called “Gifts for the Garden.”
“It is the first and only garden gift store in Hawaii offering a large selection of pottery, fountains and trendy garden products,” Staub said. “We want people to drop in to see what the hottest and latest garden products are and find that special gift.”
Expert design advice and a wide array of prod-ucts tailored to the Windward side’s unique climate also are available.
“Almost 50 percent of our customer base is from the Windward side,” Staub noted, “so we felt it was important to keep a stronghold here.
“Our motto is ‘A garden treasure waits to be discovered,’ and I’m positive that our new location will benefit both residents and commercial developers.”
The store is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Call 261-9851 or visit tgaccents.com to find out more.
