Kahuku’s Community Fund Seeks Applicants

Hawaii Community Foundation invites area groups and nonprofits to apply for the Kahuku Community Fund to further their goals of meeting community needs in the district from Turtle Bay to Malaekahana.


Deadline for applications is Feb. 1, and proposals should address one or more of the following: educational opportunities, recreational opportunities, economic sufficiency, social conditions, health care, a greater understanding of traditional and contemporary cultural arts, practices and values of the Ko’olauloa moku.


Established in 2005 by the James Campbell Estate, grants of up to $5,000 will be awarded, although larger awards are available to taxexempt 501(c)(3) applicants. Details are at hawaiicommunityfoundation.org, and forms should be mailed to the foundation, attention Kahuku Community Fund, 827 Fort Street Mall, Honolulu HI 96813.
