Kaneohe District Park Hosts Makahiki Fair

In carrying on a tradition that began in 1975, the Kaneohe Lions Club and the city Department of Parks and Recreation will sponsor their 36th annual Makahiki Fun Fair from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Kaneohe District Park.

The fair will be held in the park’s upper parking lot and swimming pool area, with children from the area’s summer fun and teen programs entertaining. Also planned are food, carnival games and pool activities. Proceeds from the fair will support recreation programs in the Kaneohe Complex.
