All children are welcome to eat meals at 60 Hawaii public schools for no charge this summer (through early or mid-July), including several school cafeterias in Windward Oahu.

Sponsored by the state DOE’s Food Services Branch, breakfast, lunch or both are available on weekdays at the following area schools to all those age 18 and younger. For specific hours and dates, call the school.

* Breakfast and lunch: Hauula (293-8925), Kaaawa (237-7751), Kahaluu (239-3100), Kahuku (293-8980) and Laie (293-8965) elementary schools; Kahuku High (293-8950)

* Lunch only: Blanche Pope Elementary (259-0450)

* Breakfast only: Waimanalo Elementary and Intermediate (259-0460)

The Seamless Summer Option is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture for schools where more than half the students qualify for free or reduced-price school meals.
