The Legal Aid Society of Hawaii presents “The Basics of Hawaii Housing Laws” workshop at 6 p.m. Thursday at Kaneohe Community Family Center on Kawa Street.
The free informational training session will cover landlord/tenant rights in accordance with the Landlord-Tenant Code, Section 8 Program and the Hawaii Public Housing Authority Buildings, aiming to answer questions like “What happens if I can’t pay rent?”, “When can my landlord keep my security deposit?” and “Where do I go if my landlord threatens to lock me out?”
