‘Nalo Farms has forged a partnership with Windward Mall to offer a larger and more diverse market that expands the Wednesday stock of locally made food products and adds a section of fresh flowers.

Grand opening festivities will mark the new partnership with a “Special Sunday Fresh Market” from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at the mall; and starting Sept. 7, the market hours will be 2:30 to 7:30 p.m. each Wednesday inside the Macy’s wing, upper and lower levels. Some vendor spots are still open. Call Wendy Gady at 225-9835.

“We’re passionate about serving the community and ensuring that people have the chance to eat local products that also are sustainable,” said ‘Nalo Farms president Dean Okimoto. “It’s about knowing where your food comes from ... so you know you’re getting the freshest ingredients to make healthy family meals.”

Saturday’s events include a Hawaiian blessing, arts and crafts from Little People Hawaii, cooking lessons from Pah Ke Chinese Restaurant and Ruby Tuesday, and Zumba and yoga with instruction from 24/7 Dance Studio.
