Six Windward Schools In ‘Olelo Video Finals

Winning teams in the 2011 ‘Olelo Youth Xchange Video Competition will be named May 13 during a banquet at the Ihilani Resort, and the event has six Windward Oahu schools in the finals.

‘Olelo Community Television will award Sony cameras to the winning public or private school from each of 35 divisions. The event has more than doubled its entries in four years, with 99 finalists selected by judges from 582 submissions.

Area schools still in the running are Ahuimanu Elementary (in two divisions), Aikahi Elementary (two), Kainalu Elementary, Kahuku High & Intermediate, King Intermediate and Kalaheo High.
