Fourth-graders at St. John Vianney Parish School will transform their campus into an evergreen oasis Nov. 26, especially if the community orders its Christmas trees from them by this Friday.
Promoters say the trees are hand-picked from an Oregon tree farm and cut down one week prior to shipping to Hawaii in a refrigerated container to the school on Keolu Drive. Available to order are 6to-7-foot Douglas firs ($70) and Noble firs ($80). Order forms are at sjvschool.org.
Proceeds help pay for the class trip to the Big Island in the spring.
