A Kailua Catholic school is banking on “Breakfast with the Bishop” this month to boost its budget for high technology and tuition scholarships.

St. John Vianney Parish School invites the public to enjoy one of three buffet breakfasts planned after Mass at 8 and 10 a.m. and at noon Jan. 23 in the parish hall, featuring home-grown entertainment and a feast from “our professional cafeteria culinary artists.”

Tickets for the inaugural event cost $20 for adults and $12 for children 15 and younger. They should be ordered from the school office by Jan. 21. (The office reopens Jan. 10 from winter break.)

The Most Rev. Larry Silva, Bishop of Honolulu, will attend all three buffets and speak on the value of a Catholic education and the special needs of parish schools.

St. John Vianney School is located at 940 Keolu Drive, and the school number is 261-4651.
