For those age 16 and older who want to earn their high school diploma, now’s the time.

KEY Project is enrolling “at-promise” learners now for classes that begin next month through its Competency-based High School Diploma Program.

The classes are free and will meet from 5:30 to 8 p.m. June 13-July 18 at KEY, 47-200 Waihee Road.

The course is designed for the students to develop life skills in community service, resources, personal finances, wise consumerism, access to and understanding of government agencies, health management and job preparation.

With course facilitator Renee Pakele, students also will gain hands-on experience through stew-ardship and cultural activities in the Waihee ahupuaa.

To enroll or for more details, call Pakele at 239-5777. Windward School for Adults and the Office of Hawaiian Affairs help fund the program.
