Windward residents can get rid of their unused and expired medications safely during the National Take Back Initiative Saturday at Windward Mall.
People may turn in the drugs anonymously, at no charge and with no questions, asked between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the center court area.
The mall is one of four Oahu collection points open that day for an effort sponsored by the state Department of Public Safety’s Narcotics Enforcement Division and the Attorney General’s office.
Other NTBI venues are the Federal Building downtown, Town Center of Mililani and Kahala Mall (8 a.m. to noon).
Last year’s contributions were incinerated following state and federal guidelines. For more information, call 541-1930.
