The Kaneohe Christmas Parade had it all, including good weather, for its 47th annual march through the town on Dec. 5.

The home-grown parade is nearly as old as its theme, Fifty Years of Statehood. Still, among the dozens of floats, vehicles and marching units, a youthful spirit prevailed throughout the mile-long march from Windward Mall to Castle High School.

A crowd of thousands enjoyed the sights and sounds along Kamehameha Highway, highlighted by the Marine Forces Pacific Band, Royal Hawaiian Band and four high school marching bands. With all the music, grand marshal Kelly Boy De Lima was right in his element. Mele Kalikimaka, everyone!
