Brigham Young University-Hawaii junior outside hitter Michelle (Tuli) Peters has once again been named the Pacific West Conference Player of the Week for women’s volleyball. This is the third time this season Peters has received the honor.
Peters, a Kahuku High School graduate from Laie, led the ninth-ranked Seasiders to a win over UH-Hilo on the road this past week to lift BYU-Hawaii to 7-0 on the season and 3-0 in the Pacific West Conference.
The Seasiders, who are ranked ninth nationally in the latest Division II poll, will play five straight road games - four of them on the Mainland - beginning with Friday’s match at Grand Canyon in Phoenix, Arizona. BYUH’s next appearance in the Cannon Activities Center is set for Oct. 13, when the Seasiders host UH-Hilo.
