A Generous Harvest Donation
Janice Fukuda, right, assistant vice president of First Insurance and Aloha Harvest board member, presented a check for $2,900 to Ku’ulei Williams, executive director of Aloha Harvest June 20. The money was raised through sales of First Insurance’s cookbook and a recipe sampler fundraiser, both part of the company’s centennial anniversary celebration.
AT&T’s Commitment To Service
On June 30, AT&T Hawaii donated 1,000 prepaid phone cards to Maj. Gen. Robert Lee (second from left), who will distribute the cards to Hawaii active duty, National Guard and reserve troops in war zones. Each of the 14 AT&T stores in Hawaii also has a recycle bin for old cell phones and accessories. Proceeds from the recycling effort go to the Cell Phones For Soldiers nonprofit organization.
