Local, nonprofit health plan AlohaCare recently distributed $1.62 million to 14 community health centers and clinics statewide. The funding is part of AlohaCare’s Quality Improvement Incentive Program, an annual initiative that aims to improve clinical care, services and access to care, especially for Hawaii’s at-risk populations. Junior Golf Association Gets A Boost
Aloha Petroleum Ltd. recently presented the Hawaii State Junior Golf Association (HSJGA) with a check for more than $3,000, continuing its support of junior golf for the fourth consecutive year. For every gallon of gas that was purchased last year by customers with a Junior Golf affinity fuel charge card, Aloha Petroleum contributed 3 cents to HSJGA. Aloha Petroleum’s contributions added up to $3,106.31. A Celebratory Scholarship
The School of Architecture at the University of Hawaii at Manoa recently announced the creation of the Leighton Liu Endowed Scholarship.
