ARDA Donates $10,000 To HPU
American Resort Development Association of Hawaii donated $10,000 for travel industry scholarships at Hawaii Pacific University during the fifth annual ARDA-Hawaii Golf Tournament held recently at Honolulu Country Club.The tournament supports the Steve Hirano Memorial Scholarship fund, created as a tribute to the late public affairs executive who was a long-time supporter of the timeshare industry in Hawaii. Hawaii Foodbank Receives $100K
The McInerny Foundation made a generous donation to the Hawaii Foodbank with a $100,000 check presentation to Dick Grimm, Hawaii Foodbank president (left), and Noel Trainor, Hawaii Foodbank first vice chairman (second from left). Foundation representatives Peter Ho, Bank of Hawaii president (second from right), and Nate Smith, owner and partner of Smith Wong Projects (right), made the donation in response to the growing need for emergency food in Hawaii. The donation will help distribute 78,740 meals to the hungry in Hawaii.
