Hirata Named Hawaii’s Junior Miss
Julia Hirata (second from left), a senior at Punahou School, was named Hawaii’s Junior Miss 2010 at the 51st annual HJM scholarship competition. Hirata won $5,500 in cash scholarships and a trip to the America’s Junior Miss competition in June, among many other prizes. St. Francis Promotes Good Hygiene
St. Francis Healthcare System distributed nearly 7,000 pocket-sized canisters of non-alcohol, antibacterial hand wipes to children at Catholic elementary schools and preschools recently. The hand wipes were presented as a holiday gift to help children stay healthy and beat the flu season.
