MIDWEEK FOCUSES ON POSITIVE NEWS IN THE COMMUNITY
Highlighting the Impact of Charitable Organizations and Offering Pro-Bono Ad Space
Honolulu, Date – MidWeek, well known for publishing “good news” in its 25-year history, is beginning a new feature called “Proof Positive,” in conjunction with Clear Channel Radio.
Each week, MidWeek invites leaders of Hawaii’s charitable organizations to tell their stories—and the stories of the people who benefit from the organization’s services.
Sharing space on the page is Good Neighbors, which each week focuses on a person who contributes to the community as a volunteer.
Also part of the weekly “Proof Positive” page will be ad space reserved for non-profit ads. Any non-profit/charity organization is welcome to submit a PSA for consideration. Ads will run pro-bono as a public service of Midweek and will be rotated based on space availability. Certain specifications apply. For more information on submitting an ad, contact Sara Uemura at suemura@starbulletin.com or (808) 529 4703.
“Many non-profit organizations are experiencing declines in contributions due to our faltering economy,” says Dennis Francis, President of MidWeek. “This page will not only share good news stories, but it will also allow a non-profit a chance to highlight their organization and tell readers how to make contributions.”
Good Stories about good people doing good things, and producing good results—that’s “Proof Positive.”
